Dan Bythewood is a NYC-based real estate executive. He is a visionary because of the transformative investments he made and continues to make into challenged communities. His work has made a positive impact on communities such as Harlem, Hempstead and the city of Baltimore. In his firm’s Baltimore redevelopment project Center\West doubled the city’s inclusionary housing, decreased crime and increased home values in the Poppleton neighborhood.

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of?

“Our Center\West Baltimore redevelopment, that has transformed a once-blighted area known from The Wire, into a thriving and growing community improving the lives of tens of thousands of people, fills me with great hope and inspiration. Since its completion, local crime dropped 40%, home values greatly increased, and occupancy rates quadrupled.”
